The Storm Prediction Center and the National Weather Service are predicting very heavy rainfall of two to four inches, with locally heavier amounts in some places. There is a slight possibility storms could organize and produce damaging winds.While the Hazardous Weather Outlook from the Springfield, MO NWS office does not mention the possibility of tornadoes, the Storm Prediction Center does show us on a 2%-5% line for the possibility and mentions it in the Day 1 Convective Outlook.
