There is an enhanced risk for severe weather in SW MO today, with some risk also in SE KS, NE OK, and NW AR. The National Weather Service in Springfield, MO lists the risks as:- Limited tornado risk
- Elevated hail risk
- Limited thunderstorm wind damage risk
- Elevated lighting risk
- Limited non thunderstorm wind risk
The main threat will be large hail, and the timing is expected to be later this afternoon and into the evening.
