Significant Risk of Severe Storms - Sunday 2/27/11

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, OK has now put SW MO, NE OK, and most of AR (as well as other states) in a Moderate Risk box for severe weather on Sunday. It's not completely uncommon, but notable, for them to do this on a Day 2 Outlook. The National Weather Service in Springfield, MO describes the situation tomorrow in their Hazardous Weather Outlook as being favorable for large hail, strong damaging winds and tornadoes.

PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO PLAN AHEAD.
